That’s an easy win.

[’sup, Johto and Kanto. How are you this fine day. Well, other than that random hail last Tuesday. God, what’s with that random hail in the middle of spring.

Anyway, this is Atsuro in front of the Azalea Gym. Holding the Hive Badge in his hand, with his large Arcanine sitting next to him.]

Then again, that’s what I get for solo-ing Bugsy with Pascal.

[Pascal give his trainer a look. C’mon, Atsuro, he want a good challenge.]

So that means I got all eight badges in Johto! Here’s hoping Kanto will give me a better challenge. I think most of my team are getting edgy from the lack of good challenges.

...Huh, I got all eight badges in less than a year. With all that time passing, I guess it’s pretty normal here.

[Oh yeah, he’s been here for almost a year... Atsuro would hit his first anniversary in a few weeks.]

So, everyone! What’s the Kanto gym leaders are like? I know about Sabrina, but what about the others?

I did. My team was quite looking forward to it, and I saw no reason to force them to wait.

Ahahah, yeah. I'll see for myself whenever I make my way over to Kanto. Pascal and Ada want more challenges for their rivalry. [He chuckles, as Pascal give him a look. Hey, his rivalry with Ada is serious business!]

Is that so? What is Ada's type, if you do not mind me asking?

She's a dark type. A Mightyena, actually.

That makes one type advantage for each, between Erika and Sabrina. However, as far as I know they'll do at best neutral damage to the rest.

Uh huh. Erika and Sabrina probably don't count for them, because of their type advantages, but the others do.

...Beside Misty in Cerulean City for Pascal. The gym leader's still Misty, right?

I doubt your Pascal will like that particular battle, should you choose to use him for some reason.

Nah, I'm not gonna use him for that gym. Antec or Loupe would be my preferred choices.

I've no doubt all are quite thankful for that.

Ahah, yeah. So what about the other gyms? Did you challenge them yet?

I've challenged Vermillion's. That one was admittedly trickier, as I had no fully-leveled Ground-type.

I got a few Ground-types, but they're not strong enough at the moment. Agena will hit level 100, but it'll take a while.

You have more than enough time to reach that point. Unlike Johto, Kanto's Gyms are quite close to one another. That means less backtracking or overly long stays.

Great! That can save up time and money in the long run. I don't mind working, but I like sightseeing better.

You'll have the chance to do plenty of that in Kanto, I assure you. Though it has less ancient buildings than Johto.

Maybe because Johto have an older culture? [They do have Kimono Girls and all.] But still, it'll be great! Seeing Kanto for real instead of just pixelated graphics on a screen.

You come from one of those worlds that are aware of Kanto's existence?

That's right! We have the video games back in my world.

How lucky. That must give you a few advantages.

I hope so! I know which type the gym leaders will use, unless they change things around.

...What would be those types, then? As I intend to reach Fuschia before summer, I could pass on the message if any are different from those you know.

Fuchsia's gym leader, Koga, uses Poison-types. For the others...Viridian have Ground, Peter have Rock, Vermillion have Electric and...Cinnabar have Fire.

[Unfortunately for Atsuro, he doesn't know Viridian's gym leader use a more varied team.]

Poison, Ground, Rock and Fire. There truly is no overlap. But where would the Dark-type Gym be?

No idea. Maybe one of the Elite Four would specialise in them?
