Day 21 - [Video] | [Action] for Goldenrod/Route 34
[Atsuro almost hesitated on posting this. He saw the network entries so far; people reporting their friends being sent home. But he did promise to tell, so...]
Hey, Fang? Still there? My egg hatched! So here he is! [He moves the PokeGear to show his newest Pokemon.]

Pretty cool, huh? I haven’t think of a name for him, yet, but I’ll take my time giving him a name!
[…Even if Golett are technically genderless.
If anyone want to see Atsuro, he'd be near the entrance of Goldenrod City, facing Route 34, with his new Golett for training. He have Midori's Eevee, Mariko, out as well for some joint training.]
Alright, let's see how much we can do today.

Alright, let's see how much we can do today.
What species is that?
A Golett, I think. The first one I've seen around here.
I've noticed that many of the eggs people have gotten hatched into new species. It's quite fascinating.
But anyway, would you be interested in doing a trade? I can breed any of my Pokémon in exchange for a Golett egg.
[Yup, he's asking the question already. Clive is ruthless.]
[This might be interesting.]
I'll probably need to find a compatible partner for him or a Ditto. [Because Dittos went well with EVERYTHING.] So what kind of Pokemon do you have?
[He takes a breath before he starts rattling off Pokémon names.]
Absol, Ekans, Sneasel, Mawile, Happiny, Nidoran ♂, Magikarp, Feebas, Eevee, Teddiursa, Lunatone, Luvdisc, Lapras, Togepi, Ralts, Porygon, Rotom, Duskull, and Zorua.
[And he finishes with a grin.]
Do any of those interest you?
[Atsuro stay quiet to listen to that list of Pokemon. He already have a few of them, like an Eevee.]
Hm...what's a Zorua?
Kira, I need you to revert back to your original form for me.
[And in a split second, the large Nidoking fades away and a tiny, adorable black and red fox takes its place. Clive scoops her up in his free arm so Atsuro can get a better look at her.]
This is a Zorua. As you can see, it has the ability to create illusions.
Whoa, that's so neat. You can hardly notice anything out of the ordinary with those illusions.
[He sure hopes he's right because that would be so awesome.]
And unlike when you use the move Transform, Zorua keeps its original type and moveset while taking on the appearance of another Pokémon. The only downside is that the illusion will wear off once it's been hit by an attack.
[Normally, that would be worrying. But it sounds awesome.]
Too bad the illusion wears off like that, but on the other hand, you can surprise your opponent when Zorua use a weird move.
Huh, no wonder his egg was like that. Certainly haven't seen another Pokemon that looks anything like that guy around. Doesn't seem like one to mess with!
'fraid my girl ain't so unusual; she's similar to other young dragons I've seen. [ And of course, she turns the 'gear towards her Axew. It's just like they're proud new parents comparing baby pictures. ]
[He's glad to see her. Sure, her number is still in use and the broadcast is public, but the disappearances made him on edge.]
I don't think I saw a dragon type like her before. What's her specie?
no subject
[ The slew of disappearances makes her similarly worried, but so far, so good. ]
According to the 'dex, she's an Axew. Never heard of it before either, and I thought I knew all the dragons that were around.
no subject
[But why give them these eggs?]
Mine's a Golett, a ground and ghost type. [He almost expected it to be a rock or steel type.]
no subject
Heh. Hope that means he's a little more sensible than most of the ghosts I know.
no subject
[It's still a bit cool around here. Not bad enough to keep him from going out.]
Hopefully! My Porygon's bad enough without him joining in on messing around.
no subject
[ It's curious that they're both new species, but without more information she'd just be going on pure speculation. Not very useful, in her opinion. ]
But everyone needs at least one troublemaker, yeah?
no subject
[Though the timing's rather suspicious. Good moods and then all the disappearances.]
Hahah, probably yeah! Things get a little lively with a troublemaker around, but it didn't cause me any mess. Mostly messing around on my PokeGear before.
no subject
[ She'd probably agree with him, but she hasn't put them together like that. She's not as suspicious of this place as she first was, though it flares up every so often. ]
Most of 'em do, probably 'cause it gives us the most grief without actually hurtin' anyone.
no subject
[Thinking and speculating things are his thing. It's something he enjoy doing.]
As long they stay at that level.
[Since Pokemon are obviously strong and can do a lot more than normal humans.]
no subject
[ Fang does pause at his second statement, considering. She's hardly a Pokemon expert and knows it, but she was a hunter back home. She had to know the beasts around if she wanted to eat rather than get eaten, so she feels a certain amount of that carries over. ]
I've yet to meet one I'd call malicious. I know they can be mean or aggressive, and that they can hurt people, but I never seen one really want to. Maybe I've just been lucky, but you'd think I'd have run across at least one by now.
no subject
I've been wondering about that. It could be me, but you'd think there'd be one Pokemon that don't like humans enough for that. They're either friendly, don't care or dislike, but no 'hate'.
no subject
[ She smiles and shakes her head when she hears herself. ]
I'm not complaining, but it does seem a little off.
no subject
[He smile a bit, remembering a certain...'cool' demon.]
Now that we mentioned it, it seems like we're tempting fate.
no subject
[ And all of Route was astounded when Mewtwo mysteriously appeared just to punch two trainers before disappearing again. ]
Maybe, but maybe not. Pokemon do fine in the wild, sure, but don't forget how many are raised by people. Bein' friendly and working with us gives 'em a leg up.
no subject
no subject
[ She likes this way much better, which she feels doesn't need to be said. ]
no subject
[He don't mind this way, either. It's like an somewhat idealised version of his plan.]
no subject
Like they were supposed to be tools. Use them to fight, stick 'em in a ball otherwise, forget about them 'til you need them again.
[ The thought still bothers her. ]
no subject
But they're not tools. Just real creatures with their own personalities. It's sad to have them treated like tools.
Yep. The first one I've seen here, too.
I think it might be, maybe?
So far, no one else know about them. They probably came from another region.
Ah, I suppose that makes sense. Kanto had some unknown Pokemon as well, didn't it?
Yeah, they do. They identified 150 Pokemon in the games, but the 151st was revealed later.
Oh, is that so? Admittedly, I don't know much about them - only what I heard Chie and Yosuke-kun say.
It's mostly a gamer's thing, but I do love them.
I see. I suppose there's more of a challenge if you know about the games beforehand.
