Day 21 - [Video] | [Action] for Goldenrod/Route 34

[Atsuro almost hesitated on posting this. He saw the network entries so far; people reporting their friends being sent home. But he did promise to tell, so...]

Hey, Fang? Still there? My egg hatched! So here he is! [He moves the PokeGear to show his newest Pokemon.]


Pretty cool, huh? I haven’t think of a name for him, yet, but I’ll take my time giving him a name!

[…Even if Golett are technically genderless.

If anyone want to see Atsuro, he'd be near the entrance of Goldenrod City, facing Route 34, with his new Golett for training. He have Midori's Eevee, Mariko, out as well for some joint training.]

Alright, let's see how much we can do today.

They are rather fun, if a little bit embarrassing.

[Thinking and speculating things are his thing. It's something he enjoy doing.]

As long they stay at that level.

[Since Pokemon are obviously strong and can do a lot more than normal humans.]

Heh. I can think of a fair few who'd agree with you.

[ Fang does pause at his second statement, considering. She's hardly a Pokemon expert and knows it, but she was a hunter back home. She had to know the beasts around if she wanted to eat rather than get eaten, so she feels a certain amount of that carries over. ]

I've yet to meet one I'd call malicious. I know they can be mean or aggressive, and that they can hurt people, but I never seen one really want to. Maybe I've just been lucky, but you'd think I'd have run across at least one by now.

[The more he interacts with Pokemon, the more he thinks about demons back home. There's the inherent danger and differences between them and humans. As a demon tamer, he knows the risks in making contracts. Being a trainer seems easier at the start...but the temptation for abuse is still the same.]

I've been wondering about that. It could be me, but you'd think there'd be one Pokemon that don't like humans enough for that. They're either friendly, don't care or dislike, but no 'hate'.

Creatures back home rarely hated humans, but these guys are different. They're smart enough for it; it ain't like they don't feel anything in the first place.

[ She smiles and shakes her head when she hears herself. ]

I'm not complaining, but it does seem a little off.

I'm more familiar with demons who thinks humans are better off as playthings, beside the few nice ones.

[He smile a bit, remembering a certain...'cool' demon.]

Now that we mentioned it, it seems like we're tempting fate.

There's always gonna be a few both ways.

[ And all of Route was astounded when Mewtwo mysteriously appeared just to punch two trainers before disappearing again. ]

Maybe, but maybe not. Pokemon do fine in the wild, sure, but don't forget how many are raised by people. Bein' friendly and working with us gives 'em a leg up.

Yeah, I don't forget about them. Which is great, since it benefits both of us. People and Pokemon helping each other and advancing things.

It's a lot like bein' partners, really. That wasn't at all what I was expectin' when they tried to explain how they fight instead of us.

[ She likes this way much better, which she feels doesn't need to be said. ]

Hmm. [ She glances away for a moment, trying to figure out exactly how to phrase it without using a lot of terms from home. ]

Like they were supposed to be tools. Use them to fight, stick 'em in a ball otherwise, forget about them 'til you need them again.

[ The thought still bothers her. ]

[That...reminds him of demons. And what he proposed, but it's not something he'd regret.]

But they're not tools. Just real creatures with their own personalities. It's sad to have them treated like tools.
