Day 32 - [Action] | [Video]

[In the snow covered streets of Saffron and all geared up in his winter clothes, Atsuro is walking around the shops with his shiny Lillipup beside him. He’s mostly browsing around and getting ideas for the upcoming Valentine’s Day, and maybe find some good beans for Hiyoko.

After buying a hot chocolate from a coffee stand, his walk eventually leads him closer to the concert hall. He pause to look at it, with a thoughtful look.]

Think we should try watching a performance here...? [He asks, looking down at his Lillipup...only to stare at her. Is that a Potion in her mouth?] ...Where did you get that Potion from this time?

[After questioning her, he turns on his PokéGear for a quick broadcast. It’s a pretty rare sight to see, Atsuro without his hat on and only his hoodie covering his hair.]

Is it normal for people to drop Potions and things a lot?

[Atsuro looks rather amused, as he hold up a Potion in front of the PokéGear. Are those bite marks on it?]

Or on the other hand, who else have their Pokémon finding things and bringing it over to you? And kind of keeps on doing it? Finder’s keeper or should I try to return them?

[He glance away, most likely to look at his Pokémon behind this recent broadcast. There’s a quick bark sound a moment later. If some people are familiar enough with it, it’s coming from a Lillipup.]

Other than that, those of you who’ve been in Saffron before: how’s the concert hall? Any good performances to go to, or people to keep an eye out for?

[Don't mind him, Atsuro will be temporarily be away to deal with his Lillipup.]

[He's rather touched by the gesture, even if he doesn't use some of the items that often.]

On the other hand, I'm kinda hoping all these gift getting won't get us into trouble.

Maybe it's okay as long as your Pokemon isn't being malicious? Like... stealing from the poor! Or something like that.

Other than finding all these things, Cilk's somewhat behaved. And I haven't seen anyone chasing after us if she did steal...yet.

[At that, Atsuro glance around. He doesn't want to potentially deal with Officer Jenny right now.]

Being that she's a pup, she'll probably be forgiven for her actions! Puppies can't help but to be curious little puppies, after all! She's too young to understand!

[He's assuming puppy Pokemon work like real life puppies!]

Cilk is one of the cutest puppies around.

[Not the cutest. Atsuro raised his Mightyena and Arcanine since their hatching, so he can't show that much favouritism.]

So she can get away with it, and I could too as her friendly, cheerful trainer!

Yeah! That doesn't sound bad to me! The cute one of our group back home always got away with things. I don't see a reason why it wouldn't apply here as well!

[He almost pause at that. Since he know a cute person and her cuteness isn't enough to protect her.]

Well, just long it's just taking things and they see we didn't mean it!

One can only hope! Maybe with a little training, they'll be less prone to picking things up!

[He grins. He really does hope that's the case, because what if one of his own Pokemon do the same thing? That would be terrible!]

Two of my Pokémon are pretty good at it. Apparently that's because they have Pickup as their ability.

So all Pokemon with Pickup have this tendency? Since I only have Cilk with Pickup among my Pokemon.

As far as I can tell. Mine have been doing it so much that they can even find ultra balls and hyper potions.

Even Ultra Balls and Hyper Potions? [Hm...] From that, I'm going to assume they can some good stuff the more experienced they get.

That wouldn't surprise me. Both are around level 50, and they've had that ability from the beginning. They've had plenty of time to hone their talent.

It's something for me to keep in mind, if Cilk still have it when she evolves. Unless the habit was ingrained into her, regardless of having the ability or not.

A part of me hopes it's like that. I could save some money if Cilk keeps on finding some items.

[Curiosity over Pickup aside, Atsuro can already see the practical use in it.]

Yeah! My Pachirisu does that. I'm pretty sure he's not stealing things, but...well, why are people dropping so many things to be found?

I can understand some things, like if they're small and easy to drop. But then you got things like a rope.

It just seems a bit hard to picture, right! You'd think you would notice that. But...I'm not sure he's the type to steal...

...Ahahah. She means well and likes showing me things, but she's not the type to steal things intentionally.

I get that impression sometimes, so it's why I'm wondering about this in the first place.

And yeah. I've been here for a while and sometimes, this world really make me stop and think. If it's not the natives here, then it's the Pokemon that makes you think.
