Never expected to end up on a museum’s roof during that craziness. And stuck there for a while.

[The camera shows movements, as Atsuro walks down the stairs in the museum to the lower floors. He turns his ‘Gear to show some of the exhibits, as well as his Clefairy looking at some of them, before turning the screen to his face.]

I take it most people end up somewhere else entirely? I went from Fuchsia to...Pewter, I think. I’ll check in a moment. [Ah, there’s the reception area.] Where did you guys end up in? You get bonus points if you have a funny story to go with it. Even if you don’t have a funny story, just tell me anyway. I’m curious.

...It’s kinda weird to think I’m twenty years old already... If I was back home right now, I would be attending college right now and getting ready to enter the workforce.

Any skill, basically. They only invite people who are the best of the best in their respective field, no matter what said field is.

I think most restaurants are okay with that, as long as they behave. Almost everything here seems to revolve around Pokémon. [ So it'd be weird if Pokémon weren't allowed in, really. ]

No matter what the field? That's a very broad range.

I'm thinking more of space, but I could bring along some of my not-so-huge Pokemon.

It is, but that's how it works. The stated goal is to raise the hope of the nation by gathering those who excel at what they do.

That works. Maybe you can bring the leftovers back for your huge Pokémon? It's not really fair if they didn't get any of the food just because of their size.

I could see why they want to do that. [By gathering and nurturing these talented people (they're students), they could prepare them to further help society, depending on their field.] Which makes me curious, what's your field, Makoto?

Man, that's some luck. But why invite "Good Luck" into school for talented students? It's not exactly something you can be skilled in.

[ Naegi looks a little awkward, and the tone of his voice indicates he's not exactly agreeing with Atsuro there; Naegi's not good at lying, and that includes pretending that everything is okay and that Hope's Peak isn't being run by a sadistic prick known as Monobear.

You said you would be in college getting ready to enter the workforce. What do you want to work with?

[Atsuro heard that tone of voice. Is he imagining or...?

When Naegi changed the topic, he decided to leave that alone for the moment.]

Programming! I'm aiming to enter into IT once I'm done with my education.

[ It's totally his imagination. Everything is okay and murderschool is not a thing that exists, all right.

Naegi's just relieved Atsuro doesn't seem to...pick up on that. Maybe he'll tell the full story sometime, but right now he'd rather talk about other things. ]

Programming? [ That reminds him of a certain someone. ] That sounds difficult. What kind of things do you usually work on?

[Atsuro would've poke at it some more, but he learned there's a time and place for it.

Like when it's not on his birthday. He just hope he won't regret missing his chance to ask later.]

It's only difficult at first, but it's pretty easy once you learn the basics. [Unless you ask his teacher for a challenge.] Normally security programs and databases, but I dabbled in other things.
