Day 25 - [Video] | [Action] for Goldenrod

[In Goldenrod, there is a familiar pair of Pokemon. Atsuro’s Clefairy and Porygon are doing their usual filming duty for their trainer. Asterisk the Clefairy is also wearing Atsuro’s hat, as she hold his PokeGear and sit on Fortran. But wait, where is Atsuro?

If you follow the PokeGear’s line of sight, there’s something in the sky. Wait, what’s that in the sky?

Is it a Pidgeot?
Is it a plane?
It’s...!]

[Flying above Goldenrod is a large Golurk, with Atsuro riding on its back. That’s right, folks, there’s a flying ghost mecha above the city.]

This is awesoooooooooooooome…!

Holy crap! That's friggin' cool! What even is that thing?!

[Blah blah, back on the ground, got his hat and PokeGear back, the usual.] That? That's my Golurk!

A Golurk, huh? Where'd you get it? [ She's a little less excited now that the show's over, so she tries to sound chill. ]

I got him from an egg from those "surprise, egg presents!" thing around...Valentine's, I think? His egg just appears one morning.

Oh, sweet. Is he shiny, or just regular? What type is he, like, Rock and Flying... ?

He's a regular Pokemon, not a shiny at all. His types are ghost and ground.

A Ground type that can learn Fly? Freakin' sweet. D'you think he's breedable?

[ Why yes, this little girl might just be about to try soliciting you for eggs. The nerve. ]

Yeah, he's breedable with a Ditto.

[He don't mind this at all!]

But if you want one, they can only fly after evolving from Golett to Golurk.

T'ch. Yeah, you always gotta wait for the cool moves.

I'll buy an egg from you, though, if you breed him. D'you have a Ditto?

But the wait's worth it.

Nope, I don't have a Ditto. Last time, I borrowed a Ditto when I try to breed him.

Yeah, it is. [ She grins. ]

I've got a friend with a Ditto; if I send it to you, d'you think you could breed me an egg, bro? I might have to work a week to make the money — those Rocket jerks stole all my cash.

I could! Whenever the egg batch arrive, I'll give you a call. [And probably find trainers for the remaining eggs, if it's like last time.]

But geez, sorry about those jerks stealing your money.

I'll send the Ditto over with my Dragonite.

I'm just glad they didn't get away with my Pokémon. [ She shrugs. Truthfully, she's more bothered by the memory than she cares to let on. ] Godzilla-bro made sure of that.

I'll keep an eye out for your Dragonite. Just send them over to the Goldenrod's Breeding Center.

[Since he kinda have permission to crash in there whenever he want.]

...Preferably while Ditto's inside their Pokeball.

[ Atsuro will, indeed, be greeted in several hours by a cheerful and polite Dragonite carrying a Pokéball. Said Dragonite will mill around outside the Breeding Center, accepting handouts until the eggs arrive — however long that takes. ]

By the way, what's your name?

[He will, later on, greet the Dragonite. And then accept the Pokeball. He heard about Dittos and their general egg-making escapades, so he doesn't want to accidentally increase the egg population at the breeding centre.]

Oh — heh. [ She always forgets to introduce herself. ] It's Miyuki. [ No sense in introducing yourself, Atsuro. She'll call you whatever she wants. ]

Name's Atsuro. Nice to meet ya, Miyuki. [Hey, anything's better than Nerdliner or Otakuro.]

[ And as it turns out, she can't resist— ] You, too, Atsubro!

[ No, she didn't mishear you. Hopefully you like it, because you're stuck with it. ]

Wait, "Atsubro"?

[That's a new one.]

[ At least she didn't say 'that's your name, don't wear it out.' ]

Well, that's a first for me. Other people usually call me by my name, or other things.

And I call you 'Atsubro.' [ This is apparently not up for debate. ]

[Apparently so.] Okay...and what are my odds of getting you to use my normal name?
