Something I just learned very recently.

Ditto smell and taste like old gum, with a bit of wild nature from the grass. I wouldn't recommend trying to taste your own Dittos, however.

[There's a story behind this, of course.]

Just be careful while on the road.

That might be it, especially if they're one of the more uncommon Pokemon you can find in this area. I would've prefer it if it asks me first.

Though...now I wonder if there is a reason why Ditto taste like gum.

Maybe it's based on their environment? Living in then wild might have given them an gummy taste?

Mmm, possibly. You said they tasted like grass, too...but that does make sense, considering where they can be found.

Right. If they're found anywhere else, I assume they might have more dirt or salt on them from the ground or hanging near the sea.

Mhm! So, do you think Naoya-san is going to keep it after all?

Definitely! I talked with him a bit and he'll keep it. I imagine Dittos would be useful to him and he'll find a way to use them to their full potential.

Hopefully so! They are certainly useful for breeding, but I can imagine they would be useful for a lot of other things too, since they are shapeshifters and all.

Yeah! Depending on what they can transform into, you can do a lot of stuff with one. Like...reaching for something on a very, very high shelf but a Ditto can fly up there as a bird.

Or they could transform into a fire type to help keep you warm in the winter, if you didn't happen to already have one...since they can transform into anything, the possibilities are endless.

Uh huh. Naoya doesn't have a fire type yet, so that could be useful in case he's doing his thing somewhere else.
