babel_hacker | Day 1 - [Video] | [Action] for New Back Town

[After 'Mom' rushed him out of the house (which was really strange, since she's not his real, hard working mother), Atsuro's been checking out the PokeGear, studying its functions and basically memorising which buttons does what.

Soon, the video feed turns on, as he expected.]

...Okay, it should be on now! [There’s the sound of a happy ‘Chinchou!’, too. Atsuro looks down at the Pokemon, still in shock, as well as...giddy and worried. He knows Pokemon, he especially played the games, so it’s a pleasant surprise to find himself in New Bark Town...his apparent home town?]

So anyone’s watching this? You don’t mind answering some of my questions? ‘cuz I want to be sure about some things.

[Is he really in New Bark Town for real, or is this all an illusion? A dream, maybe? Even if a part of him was happy to see Pokemon (even if this one was unfamiliar), he can’t help but be worried and feel unnerved. His speculative side takes over, thinking of possible ideas on ‘how’ and ‘why’.]

Do you know how I can get back to Tokyo? And is it normal to hear music like this? [Maybe he’s the odd one out here and everyone will think he’s weird for not thinking the music’s normal.] ...I’m probably weird for asking these stuff, huh?

[Is everyone from Tokyo or something?] The music's pretty normal. You'll get used to it soon enough, though it might be hard to get some sleep at first if you're not used to it.

Not yet...but I got some ideas. [Especially since he found out its typings. Chinchou give them a happy, eager smile.]

Yeah? Like what? [He's bored, thus curious. Curiosity kills off boredom or something.]

Like, say...Antec?

[Yeah, Atsuro. Name the fish after some company that makes computer stuff like coolers.]

[Bliiiiink.] Antec? What does that mean?

It's the name of a company that makes computer equipments and accessories, like coolers.

... Do they also make refrigerators? [THIS IS AN IMPORTANT QUESTION.]

[Blinks.] ...No, they don't.

Oh. [DISAPPOINT.] Antec's not a good name. [It would have been if they made refrigerators, but they didn't. ~~He's from a backward world of sorts with no technology. Forgive the bratty old man.~~]

Why the refrigerator question? And why not? [They make coolers for computers so they won't overheat. ~~Not like this modern Earth teen knows yet~~]

Because refrigerators are pretty cool! [A pause. Uh...] And it's no good. [That's all he'll say about it.]

They have to be! [ANYWAY] I think it's a good name. [He looks down at his Chinchou.] What do you think?

Chin! [Apparently, he doesn't mind it.]

[He looks at it. Well, if it didn't mind...] Can't really force my opinions. He looks like he likes it.

Looks like you'll be Antec now. [He smile at his starter's cheery attitude.]

You're sure taking all of this pretty well. [Just an observation, really.]

I try not to freak out too much. [He's still worried, of course.]

Good plan. Can't really get too far if you're panicking before anything has happened.
