[Compared to his post last week, this one is...reasonably less silly. After all, a glance at the date told him all he needs to know. Well, he’s reminded of it again after remembering a friend’s--who’s not even here--birthday the other day.

And it was so close to his anniversary here.]

This is more for long time residents, but others can pitch in if they want.

I’ve been here for almost three years, with my anniversary being practically tomorrow. I could go all sappy and type out a lot of stuff here, but I guess I’m reminded of how long I’ve been here. Between travelling and staying in each cities for some time (a couple less than others, because not all of them are as convenient as the bigger cities).

I’m still travelling around Kanto right now, but once I’m done, I might get a house for my Pokemon and myself.

Basically, any suggestions or advices for seeking a house? Ideally somewhere where my bigger Pokemon can go around, but I can handle a good backyard for Unit 01 (my Golurk, by the way).

...Also, friendly to slimes from our slimey friends.

Some houses around Celadon have ponds that our slimy friends and assorted Water-types particularly enjoy. Those might raise the value of the property, however.

[Video? Sure, why not. When Atsuro switches over it, his face appears and yes, that hat is one as always. It seems like he's sitting inside a Pokemon Center, judging from the ever present background music.]

I did not find my house particualrly expensive, but as I've spent years working long hours and I've not looked for a home in every city, I might not be the best to judge that. But I find the convenience of the nearby Department Store worth more than a slightly inflated price.

Ahhh. I don't have a lot of experience in finding a house, since I wasn't old enough back home. [He's a couple of years away from the age of majority!] But I admit that having a Department Store nearby would be convenient since I don't have to fly my stuff over towards, say, Saffron.

[ESPECIALLY IF HE'S CARRYING ELECTRONICS. Gonna eventually recreate his old storage room in the future.]

So just for reference, what's the price for your house?

It was P250000 for two years, with all amenities included and the right to do some moderate landscaping. I found it fair enough, considering the damage three Gyarados and a Steelix could cause over time, without even taking the others into account. Paid in advance, but only because I found it more convenient.

[Hang on, some quick mental maths...] That's a lot, but I could cover it once I save enough money. Ignoring possible neighbours and visitors, Unit 01 shouldn't cause too much trouble. Well, unless I let out Cthulhu and he got cranky.

Landscaping isn't my thing, but I could probably deal with it to accommodate my Pokemon.

If my neighbors can live with the presence of three Gyarados, a Steelix and a Hydreigon, among others, yours will surely not mind either of them. Barring direct attacks and terrible taste in music, of course.

Haha! Then I won't have a lot to worry about, only the usual troubles a bunch of Pokemon can get into.

Very extensive personal experience. I'd suggest not teaching any of your Pokémon how to use the radio, if you've not already done so. And if they've not already taught themselves, of course.

...If they don't know how to use the radio already, I'd be pretty surprised. Some of them do have opposable thumbs! Or claws. Or knows telekinesis.

But do they have a strong affinity with loud musical styles played with instruments that no self-respecting bard would touch?

Nope, they don't!

...At the moment. I don't think Asterisk would like that kind of music, but Euler would probably like the rock 'n roll ones.

...You can create music by using Rollout?

...Nope. It's just the name of the genre, or one of them. But I guess you can technically make music with Rollout in the right circumstances.

You'd need an object the rolling Pokémon could hit, perhaps even a few...

It'd have to be something that can generate a sound, like an object covered in metal. Or maybe a very sturdy rock.

Glass and wood would break too easily, good airship steel would certainly be strong enough... What about some of that plastic, if it's thick enough?

Plastic can work if we can get some, or make them ourselves once we have directions.

Plastic must be made? Is there no way to simply mine it, with our Pokémon's help?

I guess? I never really look into plastic's history.

But where can we mine it? I assume we can mold it after heating it up, if it's like...rubbery.

Finding a source of heat should not be an issue, considering the number of Fire-types available. But a proper mold... It'd have to be large enough for a Pokémon to strike.

Big molds like that are probably for industrial use. [Not like any average citizen want to buy one for themselves.] ...But it won't hurt to ask around in stores and the department stores.

That makes them sound very expensive. Hopefully they'll be covered by the trainer discount.

I'm a freelancing programmer right now, but I could see myself expanding it more as a business. So more work in a field I love later on.
